100 Humaniora Students Obtain BNSP Professional Certification in Tour Guiding

HUMANIORA - (24/4/2024) A total of 100 students from the Faculty of Humaniora have passed the certification exam conducted by LSP Maestro Indonesia in the field of tour guiding, after taking the certification exam on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Same Hotel, Jl. Patimura No.19, Malang City, East Java. The results of the competency test and professional certificates were handed over on Tuesday (23/4) at the Faculty of Humaniora, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University, Malang.
After handing over the certificates to the students, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Humaniora, Dr. Halimi, congratulated the students on their success in the certification exam. According to him, nowadays students need more than just a diploma and transcripts; they also need to have specific skills to enter a highly competitive job market.
"Congratulations to all Humaniora students for their success in the certification exam. By holding certificates from BNSP, Humaniora students have added value. This is expected to enhance the competitiveness of students in the job market," said Dr. Halimi.
The certification exam taken by the students includes a series of written tests, oral examinations, and interviews conducted by examiners from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) of the Republic of Indonesia using the Tour Guide scheme.
Prior to taking the certification exam, the participants underwent tourism guiding training organized by IPMI, as part of efforts to strengthen the competencies of Humaniora faculty students, especially in the field of tour guiding.
