Attending the Coordination Meeting of the ZI Team, Here are the Directions from AUPK Head at UIN Malang
HUMANIORA (6/3/2024) – In the coordination meeting of the Integrity Zone Development Project Team at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, on Monday, June 3, 2024, in the first-floor Dean's Office of the Humanities Faculty, the Head of the General Administration, Planning, and Finance Bureau (AUPK) at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Dr. H. Ahmad Hidayatullah, M.Pd., directly attended to provide guidance to the team.
On this occasion, the AUPK head emphasized that the Integrity Zone development program is not new but a reinforcement of existing programs."The areas covered in the Integrity Zone are not new; they are annual areas that are always measured to assess the institution's performance accuracy, similar to the BLU Maturity," he added.
Therefore, the bureau head emphasized the importance of a holistic understanding of the Integrity Zone program. According to him, a holistic understanding ensures that all aspects of the Integrity Zone program are comprehensively understood and implemented, from governance, human resource management, to services for students and the community."Our orientation should not only be short-term to meet the assessment criteria but also to comprehensively understand and consistently and sustainably improve service quality and governance," he stressed.
On the same occasion, the bureau head also highlighted the importance of understanding change management as a crucial element of bureaucratic reform. According to him, every element within the campus environment must support and effectively implement bureaucratic reform. He explained that successful bureaucratic reform requires a change in organizational culture, which can only be achieved if all members of the organization understand and support the objectives and principles of the Integrity Zone.
"The right mindset will trigger innovative programs that benefit the institution's development. That is the expected bureaucratic reform. The points in the Integrity Zone should become our mindset in providing the best service," he explained. In his closing remarks, the bureau head explained that the key to the success of the Integrity Zone lies in two main aspects: technology transformation management and digital management. According to him, technology transformation enables efficient and transparent system integration, minimizing opportunities for non-integrity actions by enforcing compliance with established procedures. Meanwhile, digital management provides a framework that supports data-driven operations, enhancing accuracy and accountability.
"Effective implementation of these two aspects not only increases efficiency and effectiveness but also ensures that people will be compelled to follow a professional system based on the integrity values of the organizational culture," he concluded. [al]
