
Dean of Humanities Emphasizes the Importance of Critical, Creative, and Innovative Thinking for Students
HUMANIORA - (7/5/2024) The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) Malang, Dr. M. Faisol, emphasized the importance of critical, creative, and innovative thinking for students in facing challenges in the era of globalization. He conveyed this message in his remarks at the entrepreneurship workshop held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

In his speech, Dr. M. Faisol expressed gratitude to the speakers and participants who had participated in the workshop. He explained that the event was a manifestation of the Faculty of Humanities' commitment to providing opportunities for students to learn from experts in their fields."In this era of change, students must be able to develop creative, critical, and innovative skills. These are skills that must be possessed, not least by students from language and literature departments. We must prepare ourselves to survive amidst change," said Dr. M. Faisol.
Furthermore, the Dean emphasized that students need to be able to communicate and interact with people from various cultural and national backgrounds. Proficiency in foreign languages, understanding of cultures, and adaptability are key to success in the current era of globalization."The Faculty of Humanities is committed to continuously providing programs and activities that can help students develop skills and knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship. Hopefully, this event can provide benefits and inspiration for the participants to take on roles in the global community," he added.
In concluding his remarks, the Dean also stressed the importance of prayers and blessings from parents as part of maximal efforts in achieving success. "Don't forget to pray. With a sincere combination of effort and prayer, may all Humanities alumni have a bright, blessed future that benefits others," he concluded.It is hoped that with an emphasis on developing critical, creative, and innovative thinking skills, the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang continues to prepare its students to become resilient and adaptive future leaders in facing the dynamics of the world today.
