Faculty of Humanities Empowers Arabic Language Teachers in Jombang

HUMANIORA - (April 30, 2024) Innovation and creativity stand at the center of attention for the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in its efforts to advance the institution and contribute to the community. With this spirit, the Faculty of Humanities organized a training session to enhance the competency of Arabic language teachers across Jombang Regency, East Java, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. This initiative stems from the collaboration between the Arabic Language Education Program at the Faculty of Humanities and the Council of Subject Teachers (MGMP) for Arabic Language across Jombang Regency.
The event served as a platform for Arabic language teachers in Jombang Regency to enhance their competencies in the Arabic language. Held at the Assembly Hall of MAN 1, the activity brought together lecturers from the Arabic Language and Literature Education Program (BSA), such as Dr. Abdul Basid, SS., M.Pd., Moh. Zawawi, M.Pd., Khafid Roziki, M.Pd., and Arief Rahman Hakim, M.Pd.I. They not only provided conventional teaching but also introduced interactive and innovative learning strategies, including the use of enjoyable language games.
Through this approach, teachers could engage in verbal interactions that helped them sharpen their communication skills in Arabic, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Arief Rahman Hakim, M.Pd, one of the instructors in the activity, emphasized that besides enhancing Arabic language competency, this activity also provided additional motivation for teachers to continue learning and developing their skills.
Thus, the participation of the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in this community service activity not only solidifies the institution's role as a change agent in Arabic language education but also makes a meaningful contribution to the improvement of teaching quality in Jombang Regency.
