Humaniora Appointed as Pilot Project for Interitus Zone Development

HUMANIORA - (26/4/2024) The Faculty of Humanities at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) Malang has been selected as a pilot project for the Development of the Interitus Zone Towards Corruption-Free (WBK) and Clean and Service-Oriented Bureaucracy (WBBM). This selection was announced during a coordination meeting attended by the Head of General Administration Planning and Finance (AUPK) and the Internal Control System Unit (SPI) of UIN Malang on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
The appointment of the Faculty of Humanities as a pilot project is based on the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education Number 1203 of 2024. The aim of this project is to encourage efforts to eradicate corruption and improve the quality of bureaucracy within the campus environment.
Dr. M. Faisol, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, stated, "We are very proud and grateful for the trust given to the Faculty of Humanities as a pilot project for WBK and WBBM. We are ready to collaborate with all relevant parties to realize an interitus zone that is free from corruption and bureaucracy that serves the community well."
Meanwhile, in his address, the Head of AUPK UIN Malang, Dr. Ahmad Hidayatullah, M.Pd., emphasized that the Faculty of Humanities was appointed as the Pilot Project for PMPZI to represent UIN Malang in achieving zones that are free from Corruption-Free Areas (WBK) and Clean and Service-Oriented Bureaucracy (WBBM). "We hope that Humaniora can perform well, so that it can realize a zone that is free from corruption and clean and serving bureaucracy," he said.
In line with this, the Chairperson of the Internal Control System Unit (SPI) UIN Malang, Dr. H. In’am Esha, M.Ag., also stated that through the appointment of this pilot project, UIN Malang can realize a zone free from corruption and clean and service-oriented bureaucracy. "This is a challenge for us. Humaniora is expected to represent this institution to achieve that," he explained.
The Faculty of Humanities is planned to serve as a model in implementing good governance practices, transparency, and accountability within the campus environment. Concrete steps will soon be formulated together with the Faculty of Humanities Team, SPI Team, and other relevant parties.
It is hoped that the success of this project will have a significant positive impact on the entire academic community at UIN Malang and can serve as an example for other educational institutions in efforts to combat corruption and improve the quality of bureaucracy. [aii]
