HUMANIORA - (29/2/2024) In the Humaniora Digital Class (HDC) event held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. M. Faisol, provided encouragement and motivation to participants of the Humaniora Digital Class (HDC) training.
M. Faisol conveyed that HDC is not just a routine, but a concrete step for the faculty to prepare students with digital competencies that are in line with the demands of the times.
"HDC is not just an ordinary course, but it serves as a foundation for us to face the wave of changes that are happening," he expressed.
M. Faisol also emphasized that in this era of disruption, students need to strengthen their soft skills and enhance critical and creative thinking abilities. According to him, expertise in language and literature alone is not enough, but it needs to be supported by multidisciplinary insights.
"We cannot limit ourselves to one field of expertise. Our competencies need to be expanded through experiences outside the classroom, exploration, and collaboration with various disciplines, including mastering digital skills," he continued.
In conclusion, Dr. M. Faisol believed that the career success opportunities for students are increasingly wide open with the optimization of technology and digitization. He advised participants of the training not only to adapt but also to become productive agents of change amidst the advancement of the digital and technological world.
