Humaniora Holds Socialization on Professional Course Selection and MBKM

HUMANIORA – (8/8/2024) The Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held a socialization event on Professional Course Selection and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) for fifth-semester students. This event was conducted online on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
The socialization aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the importance of selecting professional courses and the MBKM program for students. During the event, students received detailed explanations about various professional course options available to them, as well as information related to the MBKM program, which offers opportunities to study outside their study programs. This program is expected to help students develop skills relevant to the job market and broaden their horizons.
The event was opened by the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Halimi. On this occasion, Dr. Halimi emphasized that this initiative is part of the Faculty of Humanities' commitment to supporting students' career development and preparing them to face challenges in the professional world.
"I welcome all fifth-semester students to this socialization event. Selecting professional courses and the MBKM program are strategic steps in enhancing your competencies and skills as future professionals. The Faculty of Humanities is committed to fully supporting your learning process, and through this socialization, we hope you can understand and take advantage of the various opportunities available," said Dr. Halimi.
In addition to Dr. Halimi, the event also featured the Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program, Dr. Abdul Basid, the Head of the English Literature Study Program, Ribut Wahyudi, Ph.D., as well as the Secretaries of the Arabic Language and Literature and English Literature Study Programs. They provided presentations on the curriculum and various available professional course options, as well as further explanations about the MBKM program that students can participate in.
Students attending this socialization were expected to understand the importance of selecting professional courses that match their interests and talents, and how the MBKM program can provide different learning experiences and enrich their knowledge. With a good understanding of these two aspects, students can better plan their studies and prepare for a successful career in the future.
This socialization event was a tangible effort by the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang to support the academic and professional development of its students.
