HUMANIORA – (June 26, 2024) The Faculty of Humanities has set the schedule for the implementation of Field Work Practice (PKL) from July 10 to August 20, 2024. This year's PKL program will place 370 students in 60 diverse partner institutions of the Faculty of Humanities, in accordance with their chosen professional fields such as translation, journalism, teaching, diplomacy, tourism, and cinematography. Some of the industry partners involved this time are spread across various cities in Indonesia, including BP3MI Yogyakarta, Museum Kesejarahan Jakarta, CV. The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Halimi, emphasized that PKL is an integral part of contextual learning for students. "Participation in PKL within industry partners provides students with direct experience and practical skills that are essential to prepare them for the real working world," said Dr. Halimi.Additionally, he stated that this PKL also aims to strengthen collaboration between the Faculty of Humanities and industry partners as well as other educational institutions, ensuring the relevance of education to current labor market needs. "Our partners consist of professional institutions and companies in sectors such as press, film, publishing, travel, educational institutions, and government agencies relevant to our students' chosen professions," he added.
Through this PKL, students can not only apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they have learned in class but also develop new beneficial ideas and directly integrate theory with practice.
