Humanities Student Achieves Success at East Java 2024 Library Ambassador Selection

HUMANIORA – (September 4, 2024) A student from the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has once again achieved remarkable success at the regional level. Qurrota A’yuni Aulia Syahida, a 7th-semester student from Lampung, secured a spot in the Top 6 and won the Best Video Profile award in the 2024 East Java Library Ambassador Selection. The competition, which ran from July 5 to August 26, 2024, was organized by One Star Management and featured participants from various cities and regencies across East Java.

Qurrota A’yuni’s achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a source of pride for the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. As a student deeply engaged in humanities studies, this accomplishment is a testament to the fact that Humanities students excel not only academically but also in other fields, particularly in areas related to literacy and digital media.

In this competition, Qurrota A’yuni faced significant challenges, especially since she had never before performed in front of an audience on such a large scale. However, with full support from her peers and lecturers at the Faculty of Humanities, she managed to overcome her fears and delivered an outstanding performance in the prestigious event.

“Alhamdulillah, I gained a lot of experience and connections from this event. Additionally, this competition deepened my understanding of literacy and media in the digital context, which is closely related to my current major. It was definitely a unique challenge for me, especially as someone who had not been this bold in public before,” said Qurrota A’yuni.

She also offered motivational words to her fellow students, encouraging them not to be afraid to try new things, especially those related to their field of study. "My message to others is not to be afraid to try new things, especially if they are related to what you are currently working on," she added.

Qurrota A’yuni’s success in the 2024 East Java Library Ambassador Selection not only brings honor to the Faculty of Humanities but also inspires other students to continue innovating and developing themselves in various fields. This event also highlights the importance of student involvement in activities outside the campus, which can broaden their perspectives and enrich their experiences as they prepare to enter the workforce.
