Humanities, the Key to Civilization Transformation

HUMANIORA – (25/7/2024) Ahmad Faiz Wildan, SS, M. Sos., Chairman of the Alumni Family Association of the Faculty of Humanities (IKAFAHUMA), addressed the prospective graduates of the Faculty of Humanities during the Graduation and Farewell Ceremony for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in the theater room of the Faculty of Humanities on the 3rd floor. Known familiarly as Gus Wildan, he emphasized that Humanities is the key to the transformation of civilization. According to him, Humanities is crucial for understanding the deep values of humanity, culture, history, and language that form the foundation of our civilization.

"The advantage of Humanities alumni is their ability to understand and manage the complexities of human life, enabling them to adapt and make significant contributions in various fields, including economics, education, arts, and government," he stated.

Through this holistic approach, Gus Wildan believes Humanities alumni have the potential to promote the creation of a more civilized, inclusive, and sustainable society, making them effective agents of change in facing global challenges.

Furthermore, the caretaker of Darussalam Sumberpucung Malang boarding school is convinced that with the competencies possessed by Humanities alumni, they will be ready to be placed anywhere and function well. He is confident that they can make significant contributions in various sectors, including practical fields, economics, culture, education, and media.

"Humanities alumni can be placed anywhere, in any scope, and they will excel," he said to the prospective graduates.
