
Language and Culture Workshop: A Strategic Step to Improve the Quality of Humanities Lecturers
HUMANIORA – (22/8/2024) The Language and Culture Study Laboratory (LKBB) of the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang recently successfully held a Language and Culture Workshop, which was attended by lecturers from the faculty. Sri Muniroch, M.Pd., head of LKBB, expressed her gratitude for the successful organization of this workshop.
"We are very grateful for the successful organization of this language and culture workshop. This event is not just a routine activity but an important moment for us to collectively improve the quality and competence of lecturers in the Faculty of Humanities," she said.Furthermore, Sri Muniroch also expressed her appreciation for the full support from the leadership of the Faculty of Humanities and the active participation of the lecturers in the workshop. She emphasized that without strong support and cooperation, this event would not have been possible.
"I extend my deepest thanks to the leadership of the Faculty of Humanities for their full support in making this workshop possible. This event became feasible thanks to the continuous commitment and attention from the faculty leadership towards academic quality improvement," she said.The lecturer in the English Literature Study Program also appreciated the active participation of fellow lecturers and the entire organizing committee for their active participation in this event. "The presence and enthusiasm of the lecturers show that we all share the same spirit to keep learning and growing. Hopefully, the results of this workshop can be applied in our teaching and research, so we can give our best to the faculty and students," she added.
The Language and Culture Workshop itself consisted of two main sessions: Ethnolinguistic Research and Cultural Ethnography. Experts from leading universities attended as speakers, giving lecturers the opportunity to learn directly from experienced practitioners.At the end of the interview with the Humaniora Infopub Team, Sri Muniroch hoped that the lecturers in the Faculty of Humanities would be able to apply the knowledge gained in teaching and convey the material more effectively and relevantly to students, especially in today's global era. "Hopefully, the results of this workshop can be applied in our teaching and research so that we can give our best to the faculty and students," she concluded. As part of ongoing efforts to enhance academic capacity and educational quality, this workshop marks an important milestone for the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, which continues to strive to be a center of excellence in language and culture research and education.
