Less Than 3 Months: Humanities Graduates Absorbed into the Workforce

HUMANITIES – (16/9/2024) – The Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang recently released the results of a tracer study on its 2022 graduates. The study showed that most graduates successfully found employment in a relatively short time after completing their studies.
According to the report, 59.5% of graduates secured jobs within less than three months after graduation. Meanwhile, 28% of graduates took between three to six months to find a job. The remaining 12.5% found employment more than six months after graduation.
This tracer study was conducted based on the Scomburg survey theory and was carried out over four months, from early February to late June 2024. The aim was to measure the effectiveness of the education provided by the Faculty of Humanities in preparing its graduates for the workforce.
Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. M. Faisol, stated that the results of the tracer study would serve as an important reference for improving the curriculum and teaching methods at the faculty. "We are committed to continuously improving the quality of education so that our graduates are better prepared to compete in the job market," he said.
With these encouraging results, the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang demonstrates that its educational programs have successfully prepared graduates to enter the workforce in a relatively short time. [al]
