Once Again, Humanities Student Achieves Success in GBA IAIN Syeikh Nurjati Calligraphy Competition

HUMANIORA – (4/10/2023) Students from the Faculty of Humanities at Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang State Islamic University continue to achieve remarkable success. This time, Zaqhlul Ammar, a third-semester student majoring in Arabic Language and Literature, has secured the second place in the calligraphy competition held as part of the Gebyar Bahasa Ara (GBA) event at IAIN Syeikh Nurjati, Cirebon. This prestigious competition took place from September 20 to 23, 2023.
The competition saw participation from talented individuals representing various renowned universities in the country, including El-Jabar, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, UIN North Sumatra, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, INS NU Tasikmalaya, UIN Walisongo, IAIN Kudus, IAI Syarifuddin Lumajang, Universitas Nurul Jadid, UPI, STISHK, and many more.
Zaqhlul Ammar's achievement is a testament to his dedication and hard work in the art of calligraphy. "Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful for the opportunity to compete and create. Despite the considerable distance I had to travel, the experience I gained is invaluable," he happily expressed.
In addition to his personal achievement, Zaqhlul Ammar also acknowledged the fighting spirit of fellow participants in striving for the top positions. "The participants' enthusiasm in competing is truly exceptional. I hope we all continue to be consistent in developing our abilities and achieve even greater success in the future."
Previously, Zaqhlul Ammar had demonstrated his outstanding performance by securing the third place in the National Calligraphy Competition at the Islamic Festival 2023, organized by the University of Education Indonesia (UPI) in Sumedang, West Java, held from September 7 to 17, 2023. [al]
