Optimizing Academic Reputation, Humaniora Holds “Energize Your Academic Writing”

HUMANIORA - (6/2/2024) The Faculty of Humanities, through the Arabic Language and Literature Program, organized the event "Energize Your Academic Writing" on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the Meeting Room. This activity aims to enhance the academic writing skills of lecturers.
In a separate interview, Dr. Abdul Basid, M.Pd., as the Chair of the Arabic Language and Literature Program, explained that every lecturer is expected to have reliable academic performance. According to him, Academic Writing Skill is an integral part of a lecturer's competence and cannot be separated. "In the academic world, the ability to write academically is the key to the success of every lecturer in disseminating knowledge," he said.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. M. Faisol, emphasized the importance of academic publications for lecturers as part of the achievement of the faculty's vision, mission, and objectives. He explained that like a company, the Faculty of Humanities needs to be considered as a place for lecturers to work and contribute. One indicator of academic success is the presence of academic publications in reputable journals.
"Academic publications can enhance the reputation of a university. As in the business world, reputation plays a crucial role in building trust and the institution's image," said Dr. M. Faisol.
The "Energize Your Academic Writing" activity is expected to have a positive impact on lecturers so that they can be more productive in writing academic papers. The improvement in writing skills is expected to contribute to the quality and quantity of academic publications from the Faculty of Humanities.
This activity also serves as a sharing forum among lecturers of the Faculty of Humanities to share experiences in writing and publishing academic papers in reputable journals.
