Published in Sinta 2 Journal, Humanities Students Showcase Achievements Through Their Work

HUMANIORA – (14/5/2024) Another remarkable achievement has been attained by students from the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Bening Nuha Nirmala has successfully published a scientific article in a Sinta 2 indexed journal. The article, titled "Modernization in Environmental Change in The Novel 'Baitun Nakhil' by Tarek Eltayeb: Greg Garrard’s Ecocritical Study," was published in Eralingua, the Journal of Foreign Language Education and Literature.

In her article, Bening Nuha Nirmala discusses the impact of modernization on environmental changes using the novel "Baitun Nakhil" by Tarek Eltayeb as a case study. Adopting Greg Garrard's ecocritical theory, this research identifies ecological narratives related to environmental changes within the novel.

In her study, Bening shows that modernization has a significant impact on the environment, including changes in pastoral landscapes, pollution, natural disasters, and the treatment of animals.

Bening's achievement is inseparable from the guidance and mentorship of her advisor, Dr. Abdul Basid, SS., M.Pd. This accomplishment demonstrates the commitment of students from the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Malang to intellectual and academic contributions.

Responding to the publication of the article, the Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Program (BSA) and Bening's academic advisor congratulated Bening on her achievement. He stated that the collaboration between students and lecturers has a positive impact on scientific research and strengthens the reputation of the Faculty of Humanities as a center of excellence in language and literature studies.
