Two Programs at the Faculty of Humanities UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Assessed by FIBAA

HUMANITIES – (5/9/2024) – In an effort to gain international recognition and improve the reputation and quality of its study programs, two programs at the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang recently underwent assessment by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). The assessment took place over three days, from September 3 to 5, 2024.
The first day of the assessment began with a presentation by the Rector of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. H. M. Zainuddin, MA. In his remarks, the Rector outlined the university’s vision and mission, as well as the achievements and position that UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has reached. Prof. Zainuddin also emphasized the importance of this assessment as a strategic step to enhance the university's reputation and competitiveness internationally.
The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. M. Faisol, also delivered a presentation on the first day. He outlined the strategies the Faculty of Humanities has pursued and will continue to pursue in its efforts to reach the global stage. Dr. Faisol highlighted various initiatives, from developing a curriculum relevant to global market needs to improving the quality of research and community service.
On the second day, the assessment focused on interactions with faculty and alumni of the Faculty of Humanities. FIBAA had the opportunity to hear firsthand about their experiences with the education and learning processes at the faculty. Faculty members and alumni provided feedback and shared positive impressions about how the Faculty of Humanities has equipped them with the knowledge and skills relevant to job market demands.
On the third day, the assessment continued with the involvement of administrative staff from the Faculty of Humanities. They provided insights into the administrative support and services offered to support academic and non-academic activities at the faculty. The staff also shared their views on their role in maintaining the quality of educational services.
The FIBAA assessment concluded with a closing meeting on the final day. During the closing session, the FIBAA assessment team provided several recommendations based on the assessment. These recommendations are expected to serve as valuable input for the Faculty of Humanities in their efforts to continually improve the quality and relevance of their study programs.
Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. M. Faisol, expressed his gratitude to the FIBAA team for conducting the assessment. He also affirmed the faculty’s commitment to follow up on the recommendations provided, in order to achieve higher international standards.
With the completion of this assessment, the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang hopes to further strengthen its position in the international academic community and continue to make significant contributions to the development of knowledge and culture globally. [aii]
