“This evaluation is crucial to ensure that the faculty attracts high-quality prospective students who meet academic standards and to identify emerging trends and needs in the admissions process,” stated the top leader of UIN Malang.

In his opening remarks, the Rector expressed his pride in the university's achievement of ranking 16th among World-Reputable Islamic Universities according to UniRank and securing the top spot among Indonesian Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN). However, despite these commendable achievements, the Rector reminded everyone that the journey is far from over and requires faster and more massive efforts.“UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is now recognized everywhere. Our ranking has improved, but we must keep pushing forward. Therefore, I urge everyone to move faster and more massively,” emphasized Rector Zainuddin.

The first aspect stressed was the importance of continuous evaluation of interest and applicants to the faculty, whether through the SNBP-SNBT, SPAN-UMPTKIN, or Mandiri Tulis-Prestasi channels.

In addition, the Rector, who hails from Bojonegoro, also emphasized that increasing the number of prospective students from both domestic and international backgrounds should be a priority, with open doors for students of various ethnicities, nationalities, and religions. To achieve this, the Rector instructed the Admissions Office and Vice Dean 3 to act swiftly and massively in attracting prospective students, utilizing alumni networks through collaboration with the Career Development Center (CDC).“I encourage efforts to increase the number of prospective students both domestically and internationally. We must open our doors wide to students from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, and religions. This is our opportunity to further strengthen the global reputation of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang,” he asserted.
Regarding academic services, the Rector emphasized that the Teaching and Learning Process (PBM) must be completed thoroughly, with the preparation of contextual materials, methods, and media in line with the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach. This, he believes, can help foster a responsible and adaptive work culture, which is essential in facing modern educational challenges and ensuring an effective and efficient teaching and learning process.
Concerning the desired outcomes, the Rector emphasized that students should graduate on time with high GPAs, in line with study programs' competencies relevant to workforce needs (link and match). Additionally, the Rector underscored the importance of student development, encompassing academic, arts, and sports talents, to achieve national and international achievements.Furthermore, in the effort to maintain the relevance and competitiveness of Humanities Faculty graduates amid the dynamic job market, the Rector of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang stressed the crucial role of alumni in building a positive image in society and the business world.
