Wahyuni Wins Silver Medal at National Quran Recitation League

HUMANIORA – (20/8/2024) Wahyuni, a student of the Arabic Language and Literature program at the Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, has achieved remarkable success by winning a silver medal in the National Quran Recitation League. This prestigious competition was organized by Nusantara Olympiad in collaboration with the Islamic Education Student Association (Hima PAI) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) and took place from July 9 to 17, 2024.
The National Quran Recitation League is a competition that brings together participants from all over Indonesia, showcasing the best talents in Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ). In this competition, the 7th-semester student from Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, competed with dozens of other participants in the Tartil Qur'an category, a field that requires precision in reciting the verses of the Quran with correct tajweed and a beautiful voice.
Wahyuni’s success in winning the silver medal not only brings pride to the Faculty of Humanities but also proves that students from this faculty can excel in the humanities, particularly in promoting and strengthening Islamic values through such competitions.
In her remarks, Wahyuni expressed her gratitude and honor to be part of the National Quran Recitation League. "This experience has not only strengthened my love for the Quran but also given me the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Tartil. Alhamdulillah, with Allah’s permission, I managed to win a silver medal in the Tartil Qur'an category. I am grateful to the organizers and all the participants who provided encouragement and inspiration. May we all continue to be steadfast in studying and practicing the Quran," she said emotionally.
Wahyuni’s achievement at the National Quran Recitation League demonstrates the commitment of the Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, to supporting its students in developing their potential in various fields, including religious and humanities studies. The faculty continues to strive to provide an academic environment conducive to its students excelling both nationally and internationally.
