Zaqhlul Ammar, a Student from the Faculty of Humanities, Achieves Success in National Calligraphy Competition

HUMANIORA – ( 2/10/2023) Zaqhlul Ammar, a student from the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, has once again demonstrated outstanding achievement by securing the third place in the National Calligraphy Competition during the Islamic Festival 2023. This event was organized by the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Sumedang, West Java, held from September 7 to 17, 2023.

In a fierce competition, Zaqhlul Ammar stood out among talented participants from various prestigious universities across Indonesia, including UIN Ar-Raniry Aceh, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, USK, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Walisongo, IAIN Kudus, and UGM, to name a few. His beautiful and meaningful artwork captured the attention of the judges.

The success of Zaqhlul Ammar in the art of calligraphy is not a stroke of luck. It is the result of months of hard work, dedication, and exceptional perseverance that he has invested in himself during the preparation period.

This achievement serves as concrete evidence of the commitment of the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang to preserve Islamic art and culture, particularly the art of calligraphy. This outstanding achievement is also expected to inspire the younger generation to continue supporting and developing this valuable traditional art form.

In response to his achievement, Zaqhlul Ammar expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for his future artistic endeavors.

"Despite facing some technical challenges from the organizers, the spirit and determination of the participants remained unwavering. Hopefully, this achievement will provide motivation and encouragement for all students to continue to grow and achieve even better in the future," said the student from Aceh.
