Humaniora Holds International Scholar Engagement 2024, Featuring Arabic Linguistics Expert Dr. Fuad Buali

HUMANIORA – (June 12, 2024) The Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held the International Scholar Engagement (ISE) 2024 event online on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. This ISE event featured Dr. Fuad Buali, an expert in Arabic linguistics who is also the Chairman of the National Coalition for the Arabic Language and the President of the Journal of Translation Studies in Morocco.
The event was attended by the entire leadership of the Faculty of Humanities, lecturers, and hundreds of students who participated online through the Zoom Meeting platform. This event also served as a forum for lecturers and students to discuss the latest issues and innovative solutions in the field of Arabic linguistics.
In his opening remarks, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Halimi, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of this ISE event in efforts to enhance understanding and address contemporary challenges in modern Arabic linguistics. "Arabic linguistics is a very dynamic and complex field. Here at the Faculty of Humanities, we are committed to continuously exploring and understanding the nuances and variations that exist to advance the study and practice of the Arabic language on an international stage."
In his presentation session, Dr. Fuad Buali delivered material on important issues faced in modern Arabic linguistics, including fascinating diglossia and dynamic regional variations. With a comprehensive approach, Dr. Fuad invited participants to delve into the core of this ever-evolving field.
Guided by Dr. Abdul Muntaqim Al Anshory, S.Hum., M.Pd., the participants seemed enthusiastic about this event. The International Scholar Engagement 2024 demonstrated the dedication of the Faculty of Humanities at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in bringing world-class speakers to enrich the academic and practical insights of the participants.
