Humaniora Student Wins Two Titles in National Poetry Competition

HUMANIORA – (18/9/2024) Ulfatil Mustafidah, a student from the Arabic Language and Literature Program at the Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, won first place in the National Arts Competition for poetry writing at the university level. In the same event, Ulfa also claimed first place in the Arabic poetry reading competition at the national university level. This prestigious competition was organized by Sanggar Aksara Prima, Jakarta, and held online from September 16 to 18, 2024. Her victory underscores the achievements and talents of Humanities students in arts and literature on a national scale.
Hailing from Sumenep, East Java, Ulfa outshone participants from various regions in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Solo, Batam, and Kalimantan. The competition provided a platform for students from diverse academic backgrounds to express their artistic creations and also recognized their contributions to the arts.
In her testimony, the seventh-semester student expressed her gratitude and happiness for this achievement. "I am very happy and grateful to have participated in this competition. It was an incredible opportunity to hone the talents and interests I have, which still need to be continuously improved. Alhamdulillah, winning at the national level is a great pride," she said.
The National Arts Competition was not just a contest, but also a platform to nurture students' creativity and artistic talents. Held online, the competition reached participants from across the archipelago, proving that geographical limitations are no barrier to showcasing the best work.
