Humanities Faculty Lecturers and Students Pass Certification Exams, Earn Certificates from LSP P3 DDS

HUMANIORA – (23/9/2024) Four lecturers and fourteen students from the Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, successfully earned professional certificates in the fields of Image Editing and Photography after completing a series of certification exams conducted by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) P3 Digital Design Singhasari (LSP P3 DDS). The exams, held on June 21, 2024, featured rigorous assessments, including written tests, oral interviews, and practical demonstrations. The exams were overseen by two experienced competency assessors, Novin Farid Styo Wibowo and Lailatul Husniah.
The certification process used different occupational schemes, namely the Image Editor Occupation Scheme and the Junior Photographer Occupation Scheme. These schemes covered extensive and technical material, from operating design software and applying basic design principles and visual communication to fundamental photography techniques such as using shutter speed, ISO, and aperture. The method used in this exam was observation through demonstration, allowing participants to showcase their skills in practical situations.
One of the students who participated, Subarkah Siwitomo, expressed his hopes for the certification he received. "I am very grateful and excited about this certificate. I hope this certification will be a valuable asset for my future career, especially in job hunting, as it is an official certificate from a government institution," said Barkah optimistically.
This achievement not only brings pride to the participants but also demonstrates the dedication of the Faculty of Humanities in equipping its students with practical skills relevant to the job market. Success in this certification exam proves that the curriculum implemented at the faculty has prepared students to face future professional challenges, particularly in creative fields such as graphic design and photography.
Dr. M. Faisol, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, expressed his appreciation for this accomplishment. "The success of our lecturers and students in obtaining professional certificates in Image Editing and Photography is an important step in improving the quality of education at the Faculty of Humanities. This certification not only proves their technical skills but also our commitment to preparing competitive graduates for the workforce," he said.
Meanwhile, one of the lecturers who participated in the certification, Mahrus Ali, M.Sn., also shared his pride. "The certification process was very challenging but provided valuable experience for us as educators. With this certification, we hope to continue developing ourselves and guiding students with skills that meet industry standards," said Mahrus.
This achievement reaffirms the Faculty of Humanities' commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically outstanding but also professionally competent and nationally recognized.
