Strengthening Synergy with Student Communities, Humanities Holds Coordination Meeting with Lecturers and Student Organizations

HUMANIORA – (19/9/2024) In order to strengthen synergy and collaboration among student communities, the Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, held a coordination meeting with the advisors, community leaders, student organizations (LSO), and the chairs of the Student Executive Board (DEMA) and the Student Senate (SEMA) of the Faculty of Humanities on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The meeting, held in the Humanities Faculty Laboratory, aimed to enhance the integration of student communities within the faculty, thereby fostering a productive and creative academic environment.
The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Collaboration, Dr. Galuh Nur Rohmah, emphasized the importance of synergy in managing and developing communities within the Faculty of Humanities. "The core values we aim to build within the student communities of this faculty are collaboration, synergy, and growth together. We want each community to actively contribute not only within the faculty but also at the national and international levels," said Dr. Galuh.
Currently, there are 11 student communities in the Faculty of Humanities, including the Srikandi Dance Community, El-Faraby, Pena Bulir Padi, Arabic Debate El-Jidal, English Debate ADC, Calligraphy, Scientific Writing, Filmmaking, Journalism, Pesona, and Digital Art. These communities are expected to serve as platforms for students to develop their talents and interests.
During the event, Dr. Galuh also introduced the technical guidelines and work systems applicable to each community, aiming to facilitate communication and coordination between the faculty and the communities.
"The synergy between the communities and the faculty will be crucial to the success of the various work programs that have been planned. Clear and directed communication is key to ensuring that all plans are carried out effectively," she added.
Additionally, during the same event, each community advisor was given the opportunity to present the work programs that had been implemented and those planned for the future. They also reported evaluations of ongoing activities and various challenges encountered. This moment was used to gather constructive feedback and suggestions from both the faculty advisors and the community leaders.
This coordination meeting is expected not only to strengthen communication but also to serve as a forum for the communities to support one another and collaborate on various activities. With the spirit of collaboration, the Faculty of Humanities is optimistic that student communities will continue to grow and compete on national and international stages.
